CAD Support
Many companies are not taking advantage of the full capabilities of their CAD system by not customizing them to their specific needs. Repetitive or Industry specific tasks can often be programmed into the higher end CAD systems to save your users hours of unproductive time. This is the strategy taken up by the largest and most successful companies. GM has invested heavily in this concept with it's development of the "GM toolkit" for use with Unigraphics by its subcontractors. We at M L L Engineering are experts at customizing high end CAD systems like Unigraphics, CATIA and SDRC Ideas, to get these systems to do automatically what you need them to do.
Data Translation
Another area where we can help is in data translation. If you have invested thousands of hours in developing your CAD parts on one system (say CATIA) and find you need to make them compatible with GM standards (port to Unigraphics with added attributes) we can help. We have written custom programs and routines to convert massive amounts of data from one system to another. We can transfer data, modifying as necessary, between any of ANVIL, AutoCAD, Solid Works, Solid Edge, CATIA, IDEAS Master Series, and Unigraphics using STEP203, STEP214, IGES, DXF, DWG, STL and CMG as necessary.
